Shuntaro Furukawa, the recently appointed Nintendo President, recently spoke to local news outlet The Kyoto Shinbun on a number of topics. One topic the new president touched on was on the expected lifespan of their current portable system, the New Nintendo 3DS. Mr. Furukawa remarked on his belief that the device still has certain advantages over the Nintendo Switch. He also mentioned that while the Nintendo Switch is the companies key focus, Nintendo was “considering various possibilities” in regards to a successor for the 3DS.
